About Me
I am a 2022 QBIC graduate of Florida International University with a degree in biological sciences and chemistry. I have conducted research in the Theobald neurobiology lab for over three years studying the flight behavior in insects using virtual reality. I also attended the Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Internship at the University of Minnesota for cancer biology where I investigated the effects of insulin on ER+ breast cancer proliferation. I have worked with a nonprofit organization, HRD Corps, which focuses on increasing radiology capacity in second and third-world countries. I have traveled to Haiti and initiated programs to recruit aspiring research technicians. After graduating, I wish to pursue a medical degree in radiation oncology.
